Honestly, I’m still buzzing from coffee this afternoon because I’ve never had a vibe click this fast. We literally matched on Tuesday, talked for maybe two days tops, and I just said screw it, let's meet up today. Usually I’m the type to wait weeks and overanalyze every single emoji, but something felt different this time. We met at this tiny hole-in-the-wall place and the conversation didn't stop for two hours. It’s wild how much time we waste "getting to know" people through a screen when 20 minutes in person tells you everything you actually need to know.
The energy was just so easy. We didn't even do that awkward "so what do you do for work" interview thing. We just talked about travel and weird food habits and laughed way too loud for a quiet cafe. She even made fun of my order (oat milk latte, don't judge) and it felt like we'd known each other for months instead of forty-eight hours. I think the key was just being 100% honest from the jump. I’ve been trying to be more intentional lately, you know? Like, actually working on myself so I don't carry old habits into new things. I was actually reading up on how to stop being jealous in a relationship last week because in my last thing, I was always so anxious and weirdly possessive. This time, I’m just letting it flow. No stress, no checking her "last seen" status, just enjoying the fact that we actually like each other.
Anyway, we already have plans for dinner on Saturday. No games, no "waiting three days to text back" BS. If you’re feeling a connection, just ask them out.
