Without competition there is absolutely no progress and ppl dont put in the hard job, mediocrity and greed prevail until the system collapses and everyone is screwed. They possess exactly the same gamemode that some believe more predatory than Madden however Madden still have amazing single player modes that you enjoy. They can make Madden with mut and generate a fantastic franchise and career mode, they don't take action. It's 100% laziness and cutting labor costs. It is a shame though because other EA games have at least franchise modes that are much more in depth than Madden. However, there's no urgency to produce a better all whenever there's zero rivalry.

100% right. What disturbs me the most is that Madden was good. If it was this bad because the ok but elderly Madden used to be quite excellent. This is actually the worst for me. Older Madden had rivalry. There is no other soccer game available right now besides those terrible indie games created by a small group of programmers (not their fault, they just don't have the crazy resources EA have).

What truth? Franchise has been shit long buy Madden 20 coins was something. When the NFL and EA signed an exclusivity deal franchise went to shit. No competition = no motive to improve significant facets of your game. Next gen versions of Madden 06, 07, 08, 09 and many of 10 didn't possess MUT and they all had a shitty franchise style.
