Aluminium Silicate Caster Tip is composed of ceramic fibers and other refractory materials. The opening surface and the coating of the working surface are smooth, and can resist the corrosion of liquid aluminum, ensure the purity of the aluminum foil.

The casting tip is designed for the production of high quality continuously cast aluminum sheets. These tips are made of ceramic fibers bound by an inorganic binder. They are dimensionally stable, resistant to thermal shock and do not cause outgassing.

The aluminium degassing system can process metal, is installed on the line between the holding furnace and the casting machine.

Online degassing devices have many advantages. The use of the online degassing device for continuous processing of molten metal, thereby improving manufacturing capacity.

The online degassing process fully removes hydrogen and other non-metal impurities, while reducing harmful emissions and scum.

The rotary degasser is characterized by continuous flow and fully mixed series reactors. Hydrogen removal is the result of diffusion and mass transfer between the gas phase and the metal phase. The main rate control step of the degassing process is the diffusion of hydrogen through the liquid metal phase. The rotating gas jet vigorously agitates the melt, causing the metal particles to fluidize, causing non-small particles to aggregate into large particles to form the surface of the melt. The impurities floating out of the metal leave the system together with the dross.

The online aluminum degassing system has two functions: heating and processing. Heating is to preheat the container before filling the molten aluminum by a heater installed on the lid of the container to maintain the metal temperature in the casting interval and increase the temperature during the casting process.

Molten metal aluminium degassing system is to remove a certain amount of impurities (hydrogen, slag inclusion) in molten aluminum. The treatment process adopted by the device is based on the principle of gas flotation. The rotor injects and uniformly disperses inert gas, and tiny bubbles flow up into the melt.

Hydrogen is absorbed into the bubbles and eliminated, the slag inclusions are captured by the bubbles, the larger slag inclusions collide with the bubbles, and the smaller slag inclusions are captured by the radial cross-section of the bubble, and then the slag inclusions rise to the surface of the melt with the bubbles to form dross.

The metal degassing systems can achieve hydrogen removal and oxidation inclusions removal. The degassing unit has high degassing efficiency, without affecting production.

The degassing process can improve the purity of molten aluminum in a very short time, reduce the waste rate, increase production efficiency, improve the mechanical properties of castings, and enhance the competitiveness of products, which cannot be achieved by traditional degassing methods.

The hydrogen content and non-metallic inclusions of molten aluminum alloy will seriously affect the quality of castings in the melting and casting workshop. During the condensation process, as the solubility of hydrogen decreases, it is too late for hydrogen to escape from the solution.

Non-metallic inclusions are too late to float to the liquid level before entering the crystallizer. They will cause white spots and pinholes on the surface of the plate and foil to increase in the subsequent rolling process, and the mechanical properties of the material will decrease, which will eventually lead to a scrap of the product. It is necessary for degassing aluminum alloy melt.

The Metal Degassing Systems use graphite rotor for degassing, forming a large amount of convection in the degassing box, so that small bubbles can be fully diffused in the aluminum liquid. The contact surface between bubbles and molten aluminum is enlarged.

At the same time, the degassing unit adopts a sealed design to prevent secondary pollution caused by the ingress of outside air, which can greatly improve the degassing efficiency of the equipment.

The molten aluminum is stirred by controlled rotating graphite and a rotor, while the metered inert gas is pressed into the molten aluminum and dispersed into small bubbles, which are evenly dispersed in the solution metal, and the air pressure of the bubbles is zero.

Due to the high partial pressure of hydrogen in the molten aluminum, the hydrogen in the molten aluminum continuously diffuses into the bubbles, and at the same time, some non-metallic inclusions in the molten aluminum are adsorbed on the surface of the bubbles, and the useless hydrogen and some non-metallic inclusions are inert. The gas bubbles float up to the liquid surface.

How to Use Caster Tip in Continuous Casting

The front box and the casting tip nozzle assembly are pre-dried for two hours in a drying oven at about 200°C, and stored in the drying box at about 110°C. The preparation of the casting-rolling production line should be properly completed before the casting nozzle plate assembly is taken out of the drying box.

After the caster tip and nozzle is assembled and preheated and before it is assembled in the casting and rolling mill, all preparations should be made, and the casting tip and nozzle should be installed at the fastest speed to avoid heat loss and inhalation of moisture.

After the casting nozzle plate is placed on the platform, tighten the fixing screws. No debris is allowed on the casting nozzle plate platform, fixture, and outer surface. Otherwise, the position of the casting nozzle plate will be inaccurate. Therefore, before the casting nozzle plate is fixed on the platform, it should be thoroughly cleaned.

The Continuous Caster Tips is a refractory material used to feed molten metal into the nip. The casting tip is a very critical tool for the production of aluminum castings and rolled parts.

The quality of the splitter structure of the partition in the casting tip nozzle directly affects the flow field distribution of molten aluminum, and will affect the uniformity of molten aluminum crystallization, thereby affecting the grain size of the cast-rolled plate.

Continuous casting of aluminum has been carried out using continuous casting machines in commercial-scale operations for many years. This continuous casting machine includes a pair of rotating water-cooled rollers.

For example, the molten aluminum is fed into the nip of the rolls before the closest line of the two rolls. By touching the rollers, heat is quickly absorbed from the molten metal and freezing occurs before the metal reaches the pipeline closest to the two rollers. A significant thermal shrinkage of the thickness of the formed aluminum plate occurred between the rollers that recrystallized the aluminum plate.

The caster tip is located in front of the roll in the rolling equipment in the aluminum alloy field, and is used to guide the aluminum alloy. The aluminum melt enters the Continuous Caster Tips from the feed port at the rear end, and then is sent out from the discharge port at the front end and enters the roll, where it is cooled by the roll and rolled into a cast billet.
