At the moment,
MapleStory2 Mesos is sitting on 24,387 concurrent customers, placing it at the top 20 matches on Steam based on the current player count. Specifically, this places it slightly before Fallout 4 and Path of Exile (approximately 22k players each). But, it's still a ways behind perennial top-charters PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Dota 2 (between 650k and 750k players right now).
Still, reasonably high player counts aren't entirely unexpected to get a brand new free-to-play game, particularly one as high-profile as MapleStory. It is going to be telling whether the numbers remain steady over the next few weeks when we determine.
MapleStory 2 has also started a Halloween Campaign, which appears both spooky and adorable.
In celebration of the million download milestone, MapleStory 2 is kicking off a week-long"Dual Bonus Item Drop Event".
According to Nexon,"the match proceeds to maximize its servers, notably the Oceania server, where player inhabitants continues to exceed expectations."
Together with a Halloween event that runs until November 8 with a themed pursuit and items, MapleStory 2 is providing out celebratory gifts. This is an especially good time if you are on the fence.
Nexon's MapleStory 2 has attracted a number of players.
MapleStory 2 is the followup to one of the first free-to-play MMO megahits. The sequel gives players more control over their personalities. It has a contemporary character-progression system and tools to build the world however you want. And these efforts have paid through the huge download numbers in addition to the"mostly positive" user testimonials on Steam.
It had a peak concurrent player number of 33,200 now, which does not include players using the Nexon Launcher. At this time, it's the No. 9 most-played match with 30,800 gamers.
"Due to the rapid growth, the game proceeds to increase its own servers," reads a Nexon press launch.
A week, it may have taken
