If you’ve been running around Aion 2 lately, you’ve probably noticed some players flexing a pretty unique item: the fromis_9 Light Stick weapon skin. It’s a fun, vibrant crossover that brings a bit of K-pop energy into the game. If you’re trying to figure out exactly how to grab one for yourself before it disappears, here is a quick, straightforward breakdown of how to get it and a few important details you need to know before spending your hard-earned currency.
How to Get the Skin and What It Costs
Unlike some event items that require grinding out tokens or defeating world bosses, this one is purely a premium shop item. To unlock the
fromis_9 Light Stick skin, you will need to head over to the in-game cash shop and purchase it using Quna, the game's premium currency.
The Price: It costs 1,000 Quna per weapon skin.
The Timeline: This is a limited-time crossover. The skin hit the shop during the June 17, 2026 maintenance and will leave the store during the August 12, 2026 maintenance. You have roughly a two-month window to pick it up.
Pay Attention to Your Class Restrictions
Before you blindly hit "buy," make sure you are paying close attention to which version you are selecting.
These weapon skins are not account-wide universal unlocks that adapt to whatever character you are playing. Each Light Stick skin is explicitly built for one specific weapon type and is strictly restricted to its matching class. Make absolutely sure you are purchasing the exact version that matches your active character's class, or you'll end up with an expensive inventory decoration you can't actually use.
Heads Up: A Big Name Change is Coming Later This Year
There is one really unique piece of info regarding this collab that you should keep in mind, especially if you are a big fan of the actual group fromis_9.
NCSoft has stated that the real-world K-pop branding won't stay in the game forever. After the scheduled November 25, 2026 maintenance, they are going to strip out the "fromis_9" branding and replace the K-pop member names with generic, lore-friendly Aion names.
If you buy the skin now, you'll still keep the physical look of the weapon skin, but the text, names, and descriptions will shift to match the standard fantasy universe later this winter. Just something to keep in mind if you are viewing or buying it later in the year!
