Akin to its inaugural arrangement, this iteration of the tennis classic is mostly clad in
Adidas Sneakers Women White. Branding on the tongue and heel overlays are the only two components that deviate from he tonal aesthetic, as traditionally, but right shoes indulge in a classic green, while their left counterparts boast a rich blue across these areas. Furthermore, trefoil-accompanied “STAN SMITH” text is replaced with the 73-year-old tennis icon’s signature. Underfoot, sole units don’t partake in any luxurious reptilian detailing or mismatched palette. Instead, they sport a slightly-yellowed finish for vintage-appeal. Packing for this adidas Originals release are equally impressive: the box features metallic gold branding and includes additional laces with shimmering gold tips.
Kicking off the lineup are
Adidas Sneakers Purple, which arrive in black and white premium leather uppers. The shoes sport HUMAN MADE’s signature heart logo on the laterals with cut-out detailing, while adidas’ branding is seen in bold, contrasted text on the tongue. The medial side is adorned with the classic perforated Three Stripes, while the sneakers are finished off with more hints of NIGO‘s design at the heel.
Though
Adidas Sneakers Running and adidas released a Stan back in February, this second go-around on the timeless tennis sneaker presents a bolder, more heavily branded look than its predecessor. Built of leather and arriving with green or grey accents, both Stans offer a red HUMAN MADE heart logo on the lateral quarter plus a contrasting tongue with a slightly metallic sheen and an adidas text logo in HM font. Heel pieces use the same metallic material, and are split between “HUMAN MADE” and “DRY ALLS” text hits. Sail midsoles provide a finishing touch of retro style.
The
Adidas Stan Smith Light Blue employs a white canvas upper that’s paired with striking blue heel tab featuring the film’s “Rebel Alliance” logo, while the tongue includes a caricature of the young Jedi wielding his lightsaber. The look also comes with a wide array of lace locks that comes with the shoe ranging from Yoda, R2-D2, and his classic x-wing vehicle. Rounding out the design is a photo of Skywalker printed on the insole while the famous line “Nooooo!!!” is captured on the translucent outsole.
