Heat-resistant stainless steel and nickel alloy sheets are expensive to produce because they contain large amounts of nickel and chromium. Meanwhile, mild steel material is one of the lowest cost steels, followed by carbon steel, 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, alloy steel and 300 series stainless steel. Specialty alloys such as titanium, Inconel, Monel and Hastelloy are very costly due to the very high content of nickel, chromium and molybdenum.
